Robots can only move as fast and efficiently as the systems powering them. This is why Tompkins Robotics has poured years of experience integrating supply chain robotics into newly released logistics software it said is powerful, intuitive, and reliable.

Tompkins Robotics yesterday rebranded and upgraded its tWES platform. Its recently released Transcend Robotics Execution Platform is an expanded software suite to power automated warehouse applications.

The Orlando, Fla.-based company said it updated its warehouse execution system (WES) to empower businesses to move past the constraints of traditional warehouse operations.

“Transcend represents a leap forward in the evolution of our warehouse automation software platform,” stated Bill Pelzar, chief technology officer of Tompkins Robotics. “By combining our extensive experience from our installed base with industry-leading technology, we’ve created a solution adaptable to meet demanding throughput requirements and complex workflows — at scale.”

“Transcend takes Tompkins Robotics to new levels of performance, flexibility, and reliability that deliver unmatched value to our customers that can easily expand or be modified to align with ever-changing business cycles,” he said.

Founded in 2017, Tompkins Robotics is known for its tSort tabletop sortation system, which it said can be configured for operation in any size floor space. The PickPal line is the company‘s expansion to floor-based operations, and Tompkins introduced the first generation of PickPal autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) in March 2023.

Tompkins aims to make integration easier

With the Transcend Robotics Execution System, Tompkins Robotics claimed that businesses can enhance efficiency and easily integrate its robots into existing processes. The system combines the company’s Transcend Orchestrate, Transcend Connect, and Transcend Mobile into one functional and stable system.

The new system supports critical pharmaceutical sortation solutions, high-demand e-commerce operations, and parcel and store-replenishment systems. It added that users can expect faster implementation of robotics sortation, decreased time to value, and minimized risk associated with integration from the system.

The platform provides customers the tools they need to transcend the limitations of traditional warehouse operations and embrace a future of unprecedented efficiency and scalability, asserted Tompkins.

In March, Tompkins introduced an autonomous pallet jack for warehouses and distribution centers called PickPallet. The pallet jack joined the company’s PickPal AMRs. The PickPal line was its expansion into floor-based operations, as opposed to its tabletop sortation systems.
