Building on the success of their Dutch warehouse collaboration, Hai Robotics and New Wave Group are taking the next step in the French market. The companies plan to introduce warehouse automation systems tailored for the B2B textile industry.

As customer expectations rise, logistics operations face mounting pressure to deliver faster lead times, greater accuracy, and improved flexibility. These challenges are further intensified by a growing demand for operational sustainability. Hai Robotics said this partnership, which includes a local integrator, marks the next phase in its commitment to delivering advanced automation solutions tailored to industry needs.

To address these needs, New Wave Group has already implemented storage automation in its Netherlands facility. Now, it’s expanding these capabilities to its French facility. The new site will feature over 50,000 storage locations enabled by Hai Robotics’ flagship HaiPick System 3. These will be supported by 9 HaiPick A42T autonomous case-handling robots (ACRs) and 27 K50 autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).

“Hai Robotics’ expertise in the apparel industry and their efficient storage solutions perfectly align with our goals. This partnership helps us enhance customer loyalty through responsive logistics, double our business capacity, and create additional value for long-term growth,” Christophe Lardy, the managing director of New Wave France, said.

Norcross, Ga.-based Hai Robotics is a global supplier of automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS). It was established in 2016 and has 8 offices worldwide and over 60 global partners in its network. The company‘s robot won an RBR50 Innovation Award when it was introduced in 2022. Since that time, Hai Robotics has made improvements and deployed numerous units into production around the world.

Hai Robotics increases storage capacity while leaving room for future growth

Hai Robotics said the benefits of the system deployed with New Wave France include:

  • Increased Storage Density: The 11-meter-high triple-depth racking system increases storage capacity by 30% compared to traditional configurations.
  • Enhanced Operational Efficiency: Dedicated workstations and automated coordination streamline workflows. This setup meets New Wave France’s outbound efficiency targets while reducing operational costs.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Automation delivers faster lead times and higher order accuracy, improving customer experience and fostering long-term loyalty.

Hai Robotics said collaboration also highlights the significance of partnering with a professional and local integrator to meet the specific demands of B2B apparel logistics. Additionally, the company engineered the HPS3 system with scalability at its core. This allows the integration of additional robots, racks, and workstations as operations expand.

“This partnership demonstrates our shared commitment to operational excellence and sustainable growth. With a scalable and innovative system, we’re setting new standards for warehouse automation in the apparel sector,” Sean Wang, Sales Director at Hai Robotics EMEA, said.

The system delivers a 30% boost in storage capacity and has the flexibility to expand to approximately 75,000 storage locations. This reflects the company’s commitment to scalable solutions.

Present in France for almost 20 years, New Wave France is a subsidiary of the Swedish giant New Wave Group. Located in the Lyon region, New Wave France offers a wide range of comfortable, functional, and technical clothing for men and women.
