Maven Robotics last week said it as raised $100 million in Series A funding. Founded in 2024, Maven designs, builds, and deploys intelligent robotics for logistics and manufacturing.
“Intelligent industrial robots promise an incredible future,” stated Hamza Derbas, co-founder and CEO of Maven Robotics. “If we can activate autonomous labor, we can build a world of infinitely elastic industrial capacity,” We are building the system to make that a reality.”
Santa Clara, Calif.-based Maven said it has already deployed robot fleets working autonomously over multiple shifts a day with a Fortune 250 consumer packaged goods (CPG) company.
Maven starts with palletizing, tote handling
Demand for industrial labor in the U.S. is rising, but labor is shrinking, noted Maven Robotics. An estimated more than 480,000 manufacturing jobs are unfilled in the U.S. today, and the manufacturing skills gap could leave 2.1 million jobs unfilled by 2030.
In the first half of 2026, global venture capital investment in robotics surpassed $18.8 billion. Despite this, real-world deployment remains limited.
Industrial applications demand autonomous systems that can reliably perform complex tasks day after day, asserted Maven Robotics. The company said it has created a general-purpose robotics system for industrial work.
The system integrates hardware, software, and AI across every layer, including the robot, the fleet, the factory, and the Maven network.
The company claimed that its mobile manipulators master real tasks that deliver immediate impact, industrial-grade reliability and intelligence that compounds at scale. Maven started with mixed-case palletizing and tote handling, two workflows that represent an estimated $80 billion addressable market.
It has recently begun expanding into more complex material handling and assembly workflows to address a market in excess of $1 trillion.
Series A to help get to 1M hours of autonomous operations
RoboStrategy, LocalGlobe, Vine Ventures, XTX Ventures, and more participated in Maven Robotics’ Series A round.
“We believe general-purpose robotics has one of the largest market opportunities in technology,” said Jack Pearson, a principal at RoboStrategy, the lead investor. “But there’s a huge gap between a robot that demos well and one that survives three production shifts a day, seven days a week.”
“Maven has a top-tier team with a track record of shipping high performing products, and they’ve taken that experience and built a general-purpose robot designed to meet large enterprise requirements at scale,” he added.
The company is expanding with more customers and deployments. Maven said it expects to accumulate over 100,000 hours of autonomous real-world operations by year’s end, and to surpass 1 million hours by the end of 2027.
