Softeon  announced last week that Cole Haan, the American footwear, accessories, and lifestyle brand, has gone live with the Softeon Warehouse Management System (WMS) in its U.S. Distribution Center.

“This go-live represents a huge milestone not only for Softeon, but for Cole Haan and their future vision,” said Jim Hoefflin, the CEO of Softeon. “We are thrilled to have them as a customer, and to see them go live on time and on budget speaks volumes about the strength of the partnership and the performance of the solution. We look forward to supporting Cole Haan’s continued growth and delivering high-performance omni-channel fulfillment together.”

Cole Haan said it selected Softeon following an extensive evaluation process. After operating on a customized platform for many years, the Cole Haan team launched a search for a WMS that could support its evolving omni-channel operations.

The selection process focused heavily on system flexibility, performance, and the ability to scale with Cole Haan’s growing global business. It said Softeon stood out for its robust platform, user-centric interface, and proven success in complex, high-volume environments.

About Softeon’s WMS

Softeon is a WMS provider focused exclusively on optimizing warehouse and fulfillment operations. For over two decades, the company has been helping its customers optimize their fulfillment operations.

It stated that its WMS enables clients to create customized workflows tailored to their specific business needs. The WMS’s capabilities include:

  • Order fulfillment: Softeon WMS orchestrates planning, replenishes stocks, and picks, loads, and ships orders. The software includes order grouping and wave planning functionalities.
  • Real-time warehouse visibility: The graphical tools and user-defined queries enable users to view and manage inventory in real-time, as well as optimize resources and increase productivity
  • Integrate and improve: Softeon WMS offers a flexible approach to integration, with real-time voice functionality, eliminating the need for third-party control software, it said. Softeon stated that it offers advantages for companies utilizing advanced material handling systems, including carton sortation, pick-to-light ASRS, and other technologies.
  • Optimize space utilization: The WMS uses a rules-based engine and graphical tools to plan warehouse layout and storage strategies. It can also help users place fast-moving products in the ideal location using virtual zoning tools to optimize space.
  • Increase order accuracy: The system provides real-time control over all aspects of materials management in warehouse operations. This includes location management, receiving, quality checking, putaway operations, and inventory control. End-to-end tracking of inventory includes integration with RF scanning, voice devices, and material handling automation systems.
