Since announcing its expansion to the North American market in February, Dexory has already deployed its DexoryView system for customers across six U.S. states. Its latest customer is Laredo, Texas-based JAMCO GROUP, making the company’s first deployment in that state.
The logistics service provider is using DexoryView’s artificial intelligence, robotics, and digital twins to gain a deeper understanding of operations across its distribution centers.

DexoryView is an AI-powered robotics and analysis system, said London-based Dexory. It claimed that its warehouse intelligence platform can help customers improve efficiency, reduce costs, and improve operational resilience.
Founded in 2015, the company said its stock-scanning mobile robots can ensure that orders are fulfilled promptly, maximize resource utilization, and boost revenues.
Automation saves JAMCO employees time
Traditionally, the JAMCO GROUP team has carried out cycle counts manually across a 400,000-sq.-ft. (37,161.2 sq. m) site with 26,000 pallet locations. The site also includes racking systems that extend to six levels, presenting more challenges for workers.
Doing the cycle count manually with scissor lifts has proven to be time-consuming and prone to inaccuracies, said JAMCO. It previously tried drone technology to optimize its warehouse and stock-take operations. However, it was not able to achieve the level of accuracy or data required to drive actionable changes across the business.
“We tried drone systems, but these presented substantial limitations when it came to battery life and had inconsistencies when it came to reading barcodes,” recalled Rolando Valdes, vice president of information technology at JAMCO. “We needed a solution that would provide us with data accuracy and that would be able to cope with sites that may be prone to floor imperfections.”
“The Dexory robots are robust and durable and provide us with great accuracy for our cycle counts,” he said. “We are able to have our cycle count done daily within a matter of hours and have rich, actionable insights at our disposal in real time.”
With the robots carrying out cycle counts, JAMCO GROUP has been able to save numerous hours in retrieving goods. This has resulted in the team being able to ship out items more quickly.
DexoryView improves safety, visibility
Another benefit of deploying DexoryView has been in employee safety. Because the robot can scan up to 40 feet, there’s no need for JAMCO GROUP to send employees to do counts at those heights.
