Exotec SAS today announced that it is expanding its North American headquarters in Atlanta. The warehouse robotics provider said this milestone reflects its rapid growth in the region and globally.

The building will have capacity for 250 on-site employees to allow for growth over the next three years. The 37,000-sq.-ft. (3,437.4-sq.-m) space is on Peachtree Street, near Exotec’s first Atlanta office on Ottley Drive. That office will continue to support existing customers as a service center for the company’s equipment.

The expanded facility will also house showroom, an immersive space, a control center, and a lecture hall-style training room. Exotec said visitors will be able to get hands-on experience with its Skypod automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) and step into the immersive space to virtually observe several of its sites worldwide.

“This new office is a testament to our growth in the market and our dedication to delivering and supporting large-scale, complex deployments for customers seeking comprehensive, end-to-end automation solutions,” stated Stanislas Normand, managing director of Exotec North America. “We are aggressively hiring hardware and software engineers to support growing demand for our solutions.”

Exotec expands worldwide

Exotec said it recently became one of the fastest material handling companies to surpass $1 billion in sales, and it celebrated the hiring of its 1,000th employee worldwide.

The Lille, France-based company has been experiencing particularly fast growth in the North American market. Its annual order intake in the region more than doubled in 2023. It is on track to double it again in 2024.

The growth has largely been driven by a number of strategic projects from Fortune 500 companies, Exotec said. The company is planning to host a grand opening of its facility for prospects, partners, and customers in 2025.

Exotec has also been expanding its worldwide operations. In July, Exotec opened its Seoul Demo Center, its second in Asia to display its Skypod system. The South Korea center will show all standard elements of the Skypod system. They include Skypod robots, modular storage racks, and picking stations.

The company said it provides hardware and software to drive operational efficiency, add resiliency, and improve working conditions for warehouse operators. Exotec said its high-density storage provides fast SKU retrieval, accurate order processing, and efficient use of warehouse space.

Exotec said that more than 50 industry-leading brands, including Gap Inc., Carrefour, Decathlon, and UNIQLO, use its technology to improve their operations at more than 100 sites. It won a 2024 RBR50 Robotics Innovation Award for its Skypod deployment at Lane Automotive.
