As the 2026 FIFA Club World Cup prepares to captivate fans worldwide, Geekplus Technology Co. and Soccer.com, a U.S.-based provider of soccer gear, have partnered to deliver jerseys faster than ever.
“When your team wins, you want their jersey now—not next week,” said Brent Shotwell, a production manager at Soccer.com. “Geekplus robotics help us deliver that excitement faster, while keeping our operations scalable for the next big tournament.”
Founded in 2015, Geekplus, or Geek+, has developed autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) for order fulfillment. The company said that more than 800 customers use its systems to improve the flexibility, reliability, and efficiency of their supply chains.
Geek+ was recognized with a 2025 RBR50 Robotics Innovation Award for the deployment of its SkyCube automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) with Unliver PLC. Last week, it was successfully listed on the main board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Ltd. (HKEX).
PopPick streamlines operations in time for peak
Geek+ deployed its PopPick shelf-to-person system at Soccer.com‘s U.S. fulfillment center. The system is streamlining operations for summer peak, including this year’s Club World Cup and the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The PopPick system has changed the way Soccer.com runs its operations. Previously, staffers walked through aisles with push carts. Now, robots bring shelves directly to workers, enabling efficient consolidation of multi-item orders—jerseys, jackets, cleats, and more—into single shipments.
In 2024 alone, the warehouse put away and picked 4 million units of both custom and non-custom apparel. Looking ahead to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Soccer.com is preparing for a surge.
“With the U.S., Mexico, and Canada qualifying as hosts, we expect demand to increase tenfold,” said Shotwell. “Thanks to Geekplus automation, we’re confident in our ability to scale and deliver official match gear faster than ever.”
Soccer.com says Geek+ system accelerates fulfillment
Soccer.com’s automated warehouse can now process up to 70,000 units daily during peak season—more than double its non-peak volume—while achieving 99.9% picking accuracy. The system’s agility ensures timely deliveries as fans rush to support their favorite teams, Geek+ claimed.
Key highlights of the deployment include:
- Three times faster order fulfillment versus manual processes
- 4.3 million units processed with Geek+ in 2025
- Same-day shipping for 90% of U.S. orders, even during peak demand
“This project exemplifies how smart robotics are transforming U.S. retail logistics,” said Lit Fung, the head of international business and managing director for the Americas at Geek+. “With the Club World Cup in full swing, we’re showcasing how automation meets passion—powering the supply chain behind the sports we love.”
