For automated order fulfillment to grow, suppliers and integrators are partnering to better reach the total addressable market. Carter Intralogistics and Urbx Logistics recently announced a strategic partnership designating Carter as an authorized integrator of Urbx’s robotic systems for high-density, high-throughput automated storage.
“Together, we will leverage our strengths to empower brands and retailers to transform their supply chains into a competitive advantage,” stated the partners. “This collaboration represents a significant milestone for both companies as we embark on a journey to revolutionize the material handling automation landscape.”
“By combining our innovative technologies and expertise, we aim to disrupt the current state of the industry and set new standards through innovation that enhances efficiency, reliability, and performance,” they said.
Urbx ASRS supports multi-SKU orders
Boston-based Urbx provides an automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) with a double-deep configuration. The company said it supports e-commerce, micro-fulfillment, and grocery fulfillment with scalable goods-to-person (G2P) systems.
It added that its ASRS maximizes space utilization and streamlines the picking of totes or containers. In May, URBX also said its TowerBots support multi-SKU orders.
“We are thrilled about the opportunity this partnership presents and eagerly anticipate a successful and prosperous future together,” said Urbx. “Stay tuned for updates on how this collaboration will improve our offerings and deliver even greater value to you, our esteemed customers.”
