Mobile robots are finding use in multiple industries. Cyngn Inc. this week noted that it has deployed DriveMod Tuggers and Forklifts to serve use cases in across sectors. The company said it has proven its leadership in delivering autonomous vehicles to industries requiring cutting-edge efficiency, safety, and adaptability.
“The strong demand we’re seeing across industries like manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, logistics, and defense highlights the clear product-market fit of our DriveMod technology,” stated Lior Tal, Cyngn’s CEO.
Cyngn’s flagship Enterprise Autonomy Suite (EAS) includes the DriveMod autonomous vehicle (AV) system and the Cyngn Insight customer-facing suite of AV fleet management, teleoperation, and analytics tools. It also includes the Cyngn Evolve internal toolkit, which uses data from the field for artificial intelligence, simulation, and modeling.
The DriveMod Kit can be installed via retrofit or on new industrial vehicles at the end of line, enabling customers to adopt self-driving technology without having to completely replace existing vehicle investments, said Cyngn. The Menlo Park, Calif.-based company added that its systems address challenges such as labor shortages, costly safety incidents, and increased consumer demand for e-commerce.
Cyngn listed its recent accomplishments by industry:
Logistics: Autonomy enables successful fulfillment
Cyngn has deployed its DriveMod technology at Global Logistics and Fulfillment LLC’s (GLF) Las Vegas distribution center, integrating autonomous vehicles into its warehouse operations. The deployment improved workflow efficiency and provided enhanced operational visibility, enabling GLF’s team to focus on mission-critical tasks, said the companies.
This success showcased the scalability of autonomous systems in logistics-intensive environments, according to Cyngn. The company raised $33 million last month as it commercialized the DriveMod lift truck.

Manufacturing: DriveMod Tuggers streamline intralogistics
Cyngn recently secured a signed letter of intent (LOI) from a major automotive supplier to deploy multiple DriveMod Tuggers in the first half of this year. The tuggers, which can operate indoors or outdoors, will optimize material handling across the manufacturer’s facilities network, increasing operational efficiency and minimizing downtime, the company asserted.
Last month, Cyngn initiated a production deployment with COATS Co., which said it is the largest full-line wheel service equipment manufacturer in North America. The DriveMod Tugger deployment is under way at a 150,000+ sq. ft. factory in La Vergne, Tenn.
In addition, Cyngn cited a recent paid deployment of a DriveMod forklift as an example of its expansion in manufacturing.
CPG: Cyngn EAS helps meet throughput needs
The fast-paced consumer packaged goods (CPG) sector presents unique challenges, including high throughput demands and safety considerations, said Cyngn. A recent deployment of DriveMod Tuggers at a major CPG distribution company demonstrates the versatility of EAS in addressing these challenges, it claimed.
By integrating DriveMod Tuggers into its intra-facility logistics operations, the CPG business aims to streamline distribution workflows.
Defense: AVs conform to stringent standards
Cyngn’s DriveMod Tugger deployment at a major defense contractor’s facility showcases the adaptability of its AV solutions in highly regulated environments. While specific details remain confidential for security reasons, this deployment reflects Cyngn’s capability to meet the rigorous operational needs of the aerospace and defense sector.
“From the rigorous standards of the defense sector to the high-volume operations of consumer packaged goods, our solutions have proven their ability to meet the unique demands of each environment,” said Tal. “These deployments validate the need for scalable, autonomous solutions and reinforce the growing appetite for innovation in industrial automation.”
