FlexLink Systems Inc. today announced that it will introduce its AI-driven Mixed Palletizer at Pack Expo in Las Vegas later this month.
The subsidiary of Coesia S.p.A. said the material handling system automates the stacking of mixed-size products onto a single pallet, enabling increased flexibility and efficiency. FlexLink designed it for industries such as e-commerce, logistics, and consumer goods.
“The Mixed Palletizer enables companies to improve efficiency and safety without altering existing processes,” said Marco Andriano, the CEO of Allentown, Pa.-based FlexLink Americas. “Its AI optimizes pallet stability, space use, and productivity, helping businesses speed up fulfillment, protect workers, and achieve a stronger return on investment.”
The Mixed Palletizer supports “free-flow” palletizing, where products arrive without a predefined order, according to FlexLink. Using AI, the system calculates the optimal placement of each box to create stable, space-efficient pallets. This approach eliminates the need for process changes, allowing customers to integrate the technology within their existing infrastructure, the company said.
Gothenburg, Sweden-based FlexLink started as a conveyor manufacturer in 1980. The company‘s industrial palletizer RI20 was its first robotic product. In addition to palletizing systems, its robotics offerings include carton loading, case picking, and packing automation.
Mixed Palletizer uses AI to increase flexibility
The Mixed Palletizer is a fully automated system. FlexLink said it eliminates the need for repetitive manual palletizing tasks, improving workplace safety and enabling employees to focus on higher-value activities.
By combining real-time data processing with complete control over robotic trajectories, the system delivers stable pallet builds quickly and efficiently, claimed the company.
FlexLink engineered the Mixed Palletizer to handle a wide variety of product types, sizes, and configurations. Its scalability allows businesses to respond quickly to changes in demand, making it suitable for operations that require both high performance and operational agility, said FlexLink.
The company listed key benefits of its Mixed Palletizer:
- Easy integration: The system is designed to work within existing processes without requiring layout or infrastructure changes.
- Free-flow operation: It accepts products without predefined order for on-the-fly pallet optimization.
- Workplace safety: The Mixed Palletizer is fully automated to reduce repetitive manual tasks and related injury risks, said FlexLink.
- Optimized efficiency: AI-driven decision-making can improve throughput, stability, and space use.
- Cost savings: The palletizer can maximize return on investment (ROI) through streamlined palletizing operations.
- Scalable performance: FlexLink said its system can handle diverse product types and adjust to fluctuating demand.
FlexLink will be at Booth W-1064 in the Las Vegas Convention Center for Pack Expo from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1.
