Symbotic Inc. this week announced operating milestones from 2025 that it said reflect acceleration adoption of automation, as well as strong consumer outcomes as it continues to scale its physical AI platform across production environments.
“These milestones reflect what matters most to our customers: measurable performance, rapid time-to-value, and systems that deliver every day,” said Rick Cohen, Chairman and CEO of Symbotic. “The scale and consistency we’re demonstrating underscore both the accelerating adoption of our platform and the tangible impact physical AI is delivering.”
Symbotic said it applies high-density storage, robotics, and machine learning to solve complex supply challenges. The Wilmington, Mass.-based company claimed that it “reinvents the warehouse as a strategic asset for the world’s largest retail, wholesale, food and beverage, and medical supply distribution companies.”
Symbotic marks milestones
In 2025, Symbotic said it achieved the following:
- The company’s autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) collectively traveled more than 200 million mi. (321,869 km), which it said puts the bots among the most traveled autonomous vehicle fleets in the world.
- Symbotic’s operational systems processed 2.23 billion cases for its customers, inbound and outbound.
- The company reported an increase last year of more than 20% in the number of miles traveled – and a 9% increase in the number of cases handled – per bot daily. This was across its fleet of SymBot AMRs moving goods in customer distribution centers.
SymBot racks up mileage
Symbotic asserted that the customer impact is further reflected in its fleet’s mileage:
- In 2025, 84% of its AMRs averaged more than 40 mi. (64.3 km) traveled per day, with almost one-third (31%) traveling 50 or more miles (80.4 km) per day.
- Bot No. 9806 is Symbotic’s most traveled SymBot mobile robot, with over 52,000 mi. (83,685.8 km) logged to date – more than twice the distance around the Earth, and representing an average of 55.5 mi. (89.3 km) daily.
- Symbotic estimates that the cumulative lifetime distance of its SymBot mobile robots to-date totals over 330 million mi. (531 million km).
Symbotic said its “end-to-end,” AI-powered platform “enables businesses to move goods with unmatched speed, agility, accuracy, and efficiency.” The company said it can transform the flow of goods and the economics of the supply chain for its customers.
As Symbotic expands deployments, it said it remains focused on delivering efficient, accurate and reliable performance across its customer operations.
